WASTE COLLECTION IN BRIXTON

Brixton is where the vans start.

Take Me Elsewhere collects rubbish, household, garden and builders’ waste across Brixton from £80, with whole-cage collections from £350. Our yard on Grantham Road, SW9, is about 0.7 miles away. Licensed waste carrier CBDU425022.

Brixton is our home ground. The yard is a few minutes from the town centre, so a call from Acre Lane, Coldharbour Lane or Brixton Hill rarely means a long wait for a van.

A lot of the work here is flats: a sofa that won’t go down a Victorian conversion’s staircase, a bedroom of furniture left by the last tenant, bags that have built up on a balcony. We carry everything out ourselves, so you don’t need to drag it to the kerb first.

We also clear for the shops, cafés and small businesses around the town centre, and for the builders refitting houses on the side streets. Anything that can be recycled is separated as we load, and the rest goes to licensed facilities.

LOCAL KNOWLEDGE

Good to know before we come to Brixton.

  1. Red route on Brixton RoadBrixton Road is a red route, so we can’t wait outside on it. If you’re on or just off the main road, tell us about side streets or loading bays nearby.
  2. Controlled parkingMost Brixton streets are in a controlled parking zone. A visitor permit or an off-street spot helps, but we can usually work around it with a quick load.
  3. Stairs and conversionsMany flats here are in converted houses with steep, narrow stairs. Tell us the floor so we bring enough hands for big items.
